If you already source goods in Guangzhou, a visit to Hangzhou can offer a fresh perspective on your range. Look here for women's clothing with interesting design, and use nearby manufacturing hubs to add children's clothing, fabrics, down jackets, knitwear, and household goods. Manufacturing businesses have separate destinations for metal products, drawing-based parts, and automotive components.

Where to go from Hangzhou for your products

Use the diagram for an overview, then choose a destination from the list below. Each branch is a separate trip from Hangzhou, not a sequential route through every location.

Sourcing destinations from Hangzhou: Hangzhou, Zhili in Huzhou, Puyuan in Tongxiang, Pinghu, Haining, Keqiao in Shaoxing, Cixi, Yuyao, Yiwu, Dongyang, Yongkang, Quzhou, and Taizhou/Yuhuan. Products and travel times are listed below the map.

This guide draws on the experience of Vera, head of Tiger Logistics, who has worked in sourcing and logistics for 15 years. We describe destinations where we have accompanied clients and explain how to choose locations for a particular task. Hangzhou is the starting point. There is no need to visit every city on one short trip: a good itinerary starts with your product, not the number of stops.

Why buyers visit China for a range, not just available stock

We see changing requirements among our clients from Russia and Central Asia. Previously, the main question was often where to find the required batch for the season. Today, buyers more often compare fit, material, finishing, design, and the ability to reorder a successful style. A retailer needs to explain why customers should choose a particular item among similar offers.

An independent market stroll and a sourcing trip therefore produce different results. A stroll can reveal many attractive products. Sourcing requires establishing which products suit your customers, whether the right size range is available, when the order will be ready, and whether the supplier can provide the next batch. A beautiful sample starts the discussion but is not yet a complete purchasing solution.

An in-person meeting is especially useful when photographs cannot convey a product's properties. You may want to feel a fabric, see clothing in movement, or discuss a part's material and manufacturing tolerances. We arrange business trips to Chinese markets and factories so that clients have time to compare and make considered decisions, as well as travel between meetings.

Hangzhou or Guangzhou: where to buy women's clothing

Many of our buyers know Guangzhou well. It is convenient for combining markets, exhibitions, and manufacturers across categories. If you already have reliable suppliers, there is no need to replace them simply to try a new city. Hangzhou makes sense when you want to explore other collections, find interesting combinations, and broaden choices within your price segment.

In Vera's observations of the women's clothing segments Tiger serves, Hangzhou often appeals to shops that value design and regular style updates. Buyers can compare complete outfits, silhouettes, fabrics, and workmanship. Their objective is not simply to buy more cheaply, but to build a recognisable range.

The city has no single price or quality level. On individual purchases, Vera has seen substantial differences between offers from Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen. We do not turn these observations into promises of a fixed markup or saving. A fair comparison requires the same fabric composition, workmanship, quantity, size range, and order terms. Two similar photographs do not necessarily show identical garments.

For a small boutique, send examples of styles your customers like and a target purchase price in advance. For a wholesale business, specify volume, delivery frequency, and repeat-order requirements from the start. We can then propose suitable trading venues and discuss where a manufacturer meeting would be useful.

The Sijiqing and Yifa trading complexes can be starting points in Hangzhou. But a large market's name does not replace selection of particular shops: offers vary within it. We prepare a shop list and visiting sequence for the client's objectives. If suppliers need to be selected before arrival, start with supplier sourcing and purchasing support.

Choosing suppliers to give your shop a recognisable style

Over 15 years working with Russian clients, Vera has noticed a common pattern among many steadily growing businesses: they build ongoing relationships with three to five large clothing shops or suppliers sharing a similar style. These partners can regularly update collections and follow fashion trends, making it easier to maintain the shop's direction from season to season.

Three to five core suppliers: the basis of a range

Several suppliers with a related aesthetic help preserve a coherent shop identity while offering customers new styles. Collections change, but customers still understand which clothing they will find and why the shop suits them. Over time, the store develops a distinctive character among local competitors.

Vera often sees this approach among successful Russian Tiger clients who gradually open second, third, and further shops. A recognisable style attracts people with similar tastes. Three to five partners is a guide from those observations; the actual supplier mix depends on the shop's format and customers.

A few distinctive styles: highlights for the window

Alongside their core partners, these clients work with several suppliers of more expensive and unusual garments. They choose individual standout styles for the window display. These may sell in smaller numbers, but they express the shop's style, draw attention, and make the whole presentation stronger.

When selecting a garment, understand its role: will it be a core item or a striking accent representing the shop in the window? An expensive style can then be judged according to its purpose. In our clients' experience, combining a stable core with a few noticeable new items helps maintain the shop's character and customer interest.

This is one reason Vera recommends Hangzhou to women's clothing retailers. A visit lets you discover collections, see their presentation, and select partners whose work fits your style. Before meeting Tiger, share photographs of your shop, window, and garments your customers like so that we can understand the suppliers you need.

What to source in Hangzhou and nearby manufacturing hubs

The table provides pointers for choosing a destination. It is a guide to sourcing tasks, not a ready-made tour of every city. We calculate travel from your hotel to the particular market or factory: hotel location, departure time, and business address can substantially change journey length.

DestinationWhat to look forPurchasing objective
HangzhouWomen's clothingSelecting collections and suppliers for a shop
Zhili, HuzhouChildren's clothingSelecting a range by age and season

Zhili, Keqiao, and Puyuan are specific industrial destinations within Huzhou, Shaoxing, and Tongxiang, rather than separate major cities. We use exact addresses when booking cars or hotels. Taizhou is listed as an additional itinerary and should not automatically be treated like the nearest markets on a short outing from Hangzhou.

Zhili: children's clothing beyond a single market

Think of Zhili as an entire children's clothing cluster. Alongside trading complexes are streets with numerous showrooms and wholesale shops. Vera highlights an important detail: a neat window and attractive display may look like retail, although the business focuses on wholesale orders.

Design, production, and trade are located close together. That does not mean every seller has its own factory. Before ordering, establish who accepts the obligations, where the batch will be made, and how repeat supply will work. We clarify each supplier's role rather than judging by the shop's appearance.

For children's ranges, define the category in advance: babies, preschoolers, schoolchildren, everyday clothing, or seasonal outerwear. Our experience with Russian clients helps narrow the choice, but the final decision depends on your shop. A successful item for one buyer is not automatically a bestseller for another.

If you need both women's and children's clothing, allow a separate working day for Zhili, with additional time for a large selection. Do not squeeze a full day's travel and negotiations into one short visit. Our dedicated Zhili guide covers choosing shops, order terms, and questions to ask before paying.

Keqiao: fabrics, new prints, and materials for your collection

Keqiao in Shaoxing is a major textile centre associated with China Textile City markets. Our clients are interested in more than ready-made fabric. Some visit twice a year to meet suppliers, see new patterns, and discuss materials for their next collection.

Vera sees requests for textured fabrics, white fabrics for further processing, satin or metallic finishes, and functional textiles. For buyers of Muslim clothing, selection follows the particular garment, weight, and desired texture. Fabric discussions become more useful when the client has a sample or clear description of the finished item.

Bring references and specify composition, desired width, weight, colour, and expected volume. For a custom print, discuss artwork development, a trial sample, and colour repeatability separately. If technical parameters are not yet known, start with a finished garment to show the supplier the result you need.

In some projects, Keqiao offers were more economical than alternatives our clients found in other trading centres. A fixed price difference cannot be promised. Compare the same specification, volume, and terms. It is also wrong to assume that every fabric sold in Guangzhou comes from Keqiao: origin is established for the particular shipment.

Pinghu: a new season and down-jacket stock lots are different tasks

Pinghu is one destination we suggest to down-jacket and winter-clothing buyers. Choosing the timing matters as much as choosing a supplier. A client planning a new collection and a wholesaler looking for an attractive stock lot arrive with different expectations.

In Vera's experience, June is often a reference point for discussing the coming season's collections. Some suppliers hold presentations and shows where buyers can see fit on a model, compare materials, and ask about filling. Confirm the particular event date with its organiser; one supplier's calendar does not describe the entire market.

Another approach is to look for surplus stock after Chinese New Year. Some suppliers may then offer completed collections and undispatched batches. The holiday falls on different dates each year, so tie the trip to actual reopening and stock availability rather than automatically to early February.

Stock purchases have particular limitations: sizes and colours may be restricted, and the same batch may be impossible to repeat. Obtain the batch contents, garment condition, and acceptance terms before deciding. A story about “European surplus” does not establish origin or rights to sell another brand's products. We discuss a particular batch and documents rather than buying an appealing story.

Puyuan and Haining: knitwear, leather clothing, and interior textiles

Puyuan: choose the garment, not just the word “cashmere”

Puyuan in Tongxiang is known for knitwear. Buyers can look for sweaters, cardigans, waistcoats, and sets, and discuss producing their own collection. Tiger also has experience with surplus-stock purchases. The approach depends on whether you need a seasonal selection now or a product that can be reordered regularly.

Warm knitwear remains practical for clients in cold regions, but composition and appearance must suit the specific audience. Wool, cashmere, and blended yarn are different materials at different prices. If composition matters to the shop's positioning, record it in the specification and verify it appropriately rather than judging only by softness.

Haining: separate leather clothing from home textiles

Haining can be included for leather-clothing and outerwear buyers. A separate regional specialisation concerns interior fabrics and curtains. These tasks require different addresses and preparation. We do not ask a client shopping for jackets to spend time on a textile route merely because both are in Haining.

Specify the price segment, material, and order format before visiting. Comparisons improve when you examine seam finishing, hardware, lining, and agreed material properties as well as the cut. This makes discussions specific and preserves clear requirements for later acceptance.

Yiwu: range ideas and a warehouse for orders from different cities

Yiwu is useful for buyers of household goods, accessories, toys, stationery, sports products, and pet supplies. The number of offers can be distracting. For a productive trip, start with a few categories that suit your sales channel, then leave time for additional discoveries.

For a shop, bring shelf photographs and examples of successful categories. For a wholesaler, an item list, packaging requirements, and approximate volumes matter more. This helps select the right market areas instead of spending the first day wandering between unrelated categories.

For Tiger, Yiwu is also an order-collection point. Our 4,000 m² warehouse receives purchases from different suppliers and serves as a consolidation base. This is convenient when a client buys clothing in one city and additional goods in another, then wants to prepare one shipment.

Before dispatch, give suppliers the agreed warehouse details and client labels. A box arriving at a warehouse does not explain who owns it or which order it belongs to. Keep supplier lists, ordered items, and labels up to date during purchasing rather than leaving everything until you return home.

We confirm the receiving address and responsible manager before dispatch. Following international transport, you can arrange warehouse handling and delivery in Russiain advance so that the Chinese and Russian stages are coordinated before the cargo leaves.

Yongkang and Taizhou: separate itineraries for industrial sourcing

Yongkang: metal products, tools, and manufacturing to a technical brief

Yongkang is worth considering for metal products, tools, and components. Vera also handles requests for manufactured parts and fasteners. Matching the business to the required process is particularly important: a large industrial cluster does not mean every factory can perform every task.

For a meaningful meeting, prepare a drawing or sample, material, key dimensions, surface requirements, and expected quantity. Say in advance if the project is still being developed. The meeting can then focus on process questions and samples rather than an immediate final price. Preparation can begin through our service for manufacturing parts from drawings.

Taizhou and Yuhuan: automotive components for professional buyers

Taizhou, including Yuhuan's industrial cluster, is an additional automotive-component destination. We plan a separate programme and confirm factory addresses. It should not be added to a crowded clothing-shopping day simply because both locations are in Zhejiang.

Use “aftermarket automotive components” when referring to an independent manufacturer's products. This is different from counterfeit parts bearing another brand. Selection requires part numbers, vehicle applications, technical specifications, volume, and quality requirements. Similar appearance alone cannot establish compatibility or service life.

Vera maintains working relationships with automotive-component and parts manufacturers, and some clients come to Tiger through factory referrals. For these buyers, our work can continue after the visit: checking agreed characteristics, coordinating orders, collecting cargo, and arranging transport.

Three more destinations: cosmetics, appliances, and packaging

For these purchases, itineraries follow confirmed factory meetings. Quzhou and Dongyang are separate cities; we group them under cosmetics because of Tiger's experience with both. This is not a ready-made short trip covering every address.

Quzhou and Dongyang: colour cosmetics

Dongyang is a separate destination for colour cosmetics from manufacturers known to Tiger. We plan its own meeting and do not automatically include Quzhou on the same day.

Tiger has worked with colour-cosmetics factories in Quzhou and Dongyang. Vera considered those partners' offers affordable. For a new order, we compare the specific product, formula, shades, quantity, and packaging. Southern alternatives can be sought in Guangzhou's Baiyun and Huadu districts; we do not promise a fixed price difference between cities.

Cixi: household appliances and separate beauty-device sourcing

Cixi is a household-appliance sourcing destination. Comparable southern offers are considered in Shunde and Zhongshan, particularly Dongfeng and Nantou. The brief records intended use, configuration, electrical parameters, and repeat-order terms.

Vera treats beauty devices as a separate sourcing task. For hair removal and body contouring, first clarify home or professional use, exact technology, and model. “Ice hair removal” does not identify the light source: IPL devices can also feature cooling. We check the particular business's specialisation and documents.

Yuyao: bottles, dispensers, and cosmetic packaging

Yuyao offers suppliers of bottles, pumps, sprayers, and other cosmetic-packaging components. We compare them with suitable Huadu and Guangzhou-region businesses by material, completeness, neck finish, dose, and decoration. Test the agreed sample with the real product: appearance does not establish compatibility or leak-tightness.

Cosmetics and packaging can be ordered in different regions if acceptance at the filling line, responsibility for completeness, and domestic transport are agreed in advance. Detailed guides to these three destinations are being prepared alongside the southern series.

Planning a sourcing itinerary from Hangzhou

Start with the main task. Women's and children's clothing can share a trip with time allocated to Hangzhou and Zhili. For your own collection, Hangzhou and Keqiao make sense. Pinghu and Puyuan may suit winter ranges. Yongkang or Taizhou industrial businesses require separate preparation and confirmed meetings.

An example for a women's and children's clothing shop: spend the first working day exploring selected Hangzhou venues with a manager, the following days making independent selections and repeat visits, then travel to Zhili for a separate introduction to children's ranges. This illustrates an approach, not a fixed package; duration and support are agreed according to the client's needs.

A first trip usually benefits from more help with orientation and communication. An experienced buyer may book support only for key meetings and work independently otherwise. We do not ask suppliers to raise prices because our employee is present. Clients are free to choose, compare offers, and decide what to buy.

We provide free airport pickup, with arrival details agreed in advance. We help arrange hotel bookings and meals, while clients pay for accommodation and food themselves. Intercity transport is charged at actual cost. Before booking flights, check current services, baggage allowances, and total route cost: a flight number or a single attractive fare is not a permanent travel condition.

A Russian-speaking interpreter costs USD 150 per day; a sourcing manager without Russian costs USD 50 per day, with communication possible through a translation app. The working day is eight hours, including lunch and travel between visits. Other itineraries follow the applicable service terms. We discuss the format in advance so clients understand which days need support.

What happens to the goods after purchasing?

A sourcing trip does not end with the last supplier meeting. Ordered items must be received, matched to documents, checked for shortages or mix-ups, and prepared for dispatch. The clearer the purchase terms, the easier it is to handle cargo after the client leaves.

Consolidation and goods inspection at Tiger warehouses are free. We agree the scope for the product and order: visual checks and order matching do not replace laboratory tests or specialist technical assessment. Packaging, customs clearance, and transport are priced separately by the manager according to actual conditions.

If you need help with supplier payments, discuss it before payment is due. For delivery, prepare product names, package count, weight, volume, seller details, and available documents. Questions about customs clearance are best addressed before purchasing, especially when product characteristics affect the required documents.

Tiger has a warehouse and local team in Moscow. The manager connects sourcing in China with the onward delivery route from China. Having a local team does not remove product-specific requirements: documents and permitted transport methods depend on the shipment itself.

Can you travel visa-free for sourcing?

Rules depend on citizenship, passport, purpose, and length of stay. According to official announcements checked for the Russian original on 5 October 2026, ordinary Russian passport holders can enter visa-free, including for business, for up to 30 days; the policy was extended to 31 December 2027.

For citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the relevant agreements provide up to 30 days per trip and no more than 90 days in a 180-day period. The same conditions must not automatically be applied to Kyrgyz citizens: the available 240-hour visa-free transit requires a qualifying onward itinerary to a third country or region. Hainan's separate 30-day arrangement does not provide the same right to visit Hangzhou.

Before buying a ticket, check the rules for your passport with an official consular source. Links appear at the end of this article. Tell the manager your arrival and departure dates when planning: the business itinerary must fit the stay actually permitted.

QUZHOU AND DONGYANG · COLOUR COSMETICS

Private-label cosmetics: working with factories

Tiger has worked with colour-cosmetics factories in Quzhou and Dongyang. In Vera's experience, these partners offered affordable prices. Consider these destinations if you plan private-label cosmetics and want to discuss the product, shades, and packaging design with a manufacturer.

Southern comparison: suitable factories in Guangzhou's Baiyun and Huadu districts. To compare offers, set the same requirements for formula, shades, batch quantity, and packaging. Experience with our partners does not mean every Quzhou order will cost less than in Guangzhou.

We consider Cixi for small household appliances. A separate task is sourcing beauty devices, including hair-removal and body-contouring equipment. First clarify the particular model, technology, and intended use: home devices and professional equipment require different supplier-selection approaches.

Southern comparison: for household appliances, offers from Shunde and Zhongshan, especially Dongfeng and Nantou. For beauty devices, we select Guangzhou-region businesses by technology and documentation for the particular model. “Ice hair removal” describes cooling and does not by itself mean the device uses a laser.

In Yuyao, we look for cosmetic packaging and components: bottles, dispensing pumps, and sprayers. This suits buyers selecting packaging for a new product or comparing suppliers for a repeat order. Describe not only appearance but also material, capacity, neck finish, and included components.

Southern comparison: packaging manufacturers in Huadu and the Guangzhou region. We compare equivalent assemblies, dosing, decoration, and order terms. Before buying a batch, test the approved sample with the actual cosmetics formula: an attractive bottle does not establish compatibility or leak-tightness.

Questions before a sourcing trip

How many women's clothing suppliers should I work with regularly?

Vera observes that many growing Russian clients rely on three to five large suppliers with a related style and regular collection updates. They also select a few distinctive, more expensive styles from other partners for their windows. This is a practical guide; the right supplier mix depends on your shop's format and customers.

Does Hangzhou make sense if I already buy in Guangzhou?

Yes, if you want to compare a different range and find suppliers for a particular style or category. We first clarify the task and suggest suitable destinations. Changing cities alone does not guarantee a lower price or higher quality.

Can I buy women's and children's clothing on one trip?

An itinerary can include Hangzhou and Zhili. Allow separate time in each destination for selection, negotiations, and repeat visits. The number of days depends on the range's breadth and the client's readiness to decide.

Do I have to pay for support every day?

No. You can begin with an orientation day, then buy independently and bring in the manager for selected meetings. The format is agreed in advance, and we help organise subsequent receipt of goods at the warehouse.

When should I visit Pinghu for down jackets?

In Vera's experience, discussions for the new season often take place in June, while stock offers are sought after Chinese New Year. Confirm individual shows, surplus availability, and supplier working dates before travelling.

Does every Zhili shop own a factory?

No, this must not be assumed. Trade and production are close together in the cluster, but the seller's role, manufacturing location, and responsibility for the order are clarified separately.

Can purchases from several cities be collected in Yiwu?

Yes. We coordinate delivery to Tiger's Yiwu warehouse. Suppliers need current receiving details and client labels, while the manager needs order information for matching.

Am I guaranteed the lowest factory price?

We help find suitable suppliers and compare terms, but do not promise a universal minimum price. The final price depends on specifications, quantity, lead time, packaging, and order requirements.

What should I send Tiger to discuss a route?

Name the product category, attach examples, and give expected dates and arrival city. Add volume and purchasing budget if known. You do not need every technical detail in advance.
